Lattice Boom

Lattice Boom is a heavy equipment that is generally used to lift, move material from its place of origin to another place with additional attachments. This tool is commonly found on cranes, crawler cranes, side booms, A-Frame trucks and the like.

This heavy equipment can be used for the erection of prestress bridges, components of prestress concrete panels, and is also used in foundation work for piling, bore piling, pipe installation, digging and loading (clampshell and dragline). The construction of this tool generally consists of a tool that can rotate 360 degrees such as an excavator, with a longer reach.

The main function of the Lattice Boom which is often found on cranes

The lifting method using the Lattice Boom Crawler Crane must always pay attention to the level of stability of the ground where the crane works and always look at the allowable load table according to the distance (radius) of the load to the crane axis.

In general, the Lattice Boom Crawler Crane has a large lifting capacity compared to tire wheel crane types. However, the weight of the machine and the slow movement of the crawler are one of the drawbacks of this type of crane. To move from one place to another requires extra costs and a lot of equipment such as trailers and other cranes because these cranes have to be dismantled.
