  3. RISK is an estimate of the severity that will arise if a hazard occurs in a certain cycle.
  4. INCIDENT is the emergence of a hazardous or undesirable event.
  5. ACCIDENT is a hazard event accompanied by a victim or loss (human or object).

Regardless of the type of company, HSE hazards can be divided into three types, namely chemical, physical, and project / job types. The following is an understanding of each of these types and examples.

1. Chemical Hazards

What is meant by chemical type hazard is the hazard arising from inhalation or contact with hazardous chemicals, such as chemical combustion ash, chemical vapors, and chemical gases.

2. Physical Danger

Physical type hazards are hazards that arise due to the physical conditions of the work environment, for example the air temperature is too high or too low, the room is very noisy, or the air condition is not normal. This situation can result in abnormal body temperature or hearing damage.

3. Project Work Type Hazards

Hazards associated with the project or work can arise from insufficient lighting, the activity of transporting goods, and hazards that can arise from using the equipment. This hazard may result in workers experiencing visual impairment or injury.

The government has made HSE something that employers and workers must pay attention to through legal regulations. However, the implementation of HSE should not be used as a burden, but must become a culture and part of daily activities.
