Radiation protection

One way of testing the welded joint is by means of a Radiography test. We often encounter this test in fabrication or construction work. The sub-contractor for material testing services performs radiography or the term often used by X-Ray, to test the welding results.

Where the radiography or X-ray work of the device used is a camera in which there is ISOTOP (a derivative of hazardous material Uranium) and the hazard is X-ray emission or radiation.

Radiation from these materials greatly affects the cell structure in our bodies if exposed to repeated exposure and the impact of this radiation will be felt after 5 to 10 years later and the most feared impact / effect of exposure to radiation is genetic dysfunction.

Radiography Permit is a work permit for work related to X-ray or gamma radiation. A radiography work permit is required to perform work related to the use of x-ray equipment or radioactive sources such as non-destructive testing work. Permission forms to work usually contain these items.
