The flat body truck is a type of truck that can be either articulated or rigid. As the name suggests, the bodywork is simply a completely flat ‘bed’ with no sides or roof. This allows quick and easy loading of goods, and as a result is used for transporting heavy loads that are not sensitive or prone to rain, as well as for abnormal loads that require more space than is available in a closed body.
Flatbeds trucks are still in use, but are now used for more specialized cargo, such as construction steel work or lighter abnormal loads, such as machinery, wood loads or dry walls or any load that requires the use of a forklift without the use of a loading dock.
Here is a pre-mob inspection for the Flatbeds truck that you might need right now.
