Wheel Loaders are physically similar to Shovel Dozers, except that this machine uses rubber wheels. This difference affects the ability and function, although not very significant. Wheel Loaders have the ability to operate in flat, dry and hard areas. Bulldozer must assist the operation because it does not have the ability to pick up the material by itself.
In general, the function of a wheel loader is to lift material to be moved to another place or put into a dump truck. When the loader excavates, the bucket is pushed into the material. When the bucket is full the tractor will retreat and then the bucket will be lifted up to move the load.
Specifically, here are the uses of Wheel Loader machines:
- Digging the land at close range.
- Leveling a mound / pile of soil or filling a hole / excavation
- Taking or preparing materials
- Land Clearing. The process of cleaning the area or job site.
- Stripping. Peel off any dirt that looks ugly.
- Finishing. The process of leveling or smoothing the ground surface or flat plane object.
